Loss or Gain?
hey dudes:
Sometimes, to lose is to gain. For example I had a friend that was a little high maintenance and everything always had to be about her. I would spend every free moment hanging out with her, but once I took a step back, I realized that having such a dependent relationship was toxic for me. Everything started to be negative and I wasn't very happy, and my other friendships and relationship with God were suffering. Even though it hurt and I didn't want to, I began to spend less time with that friend, and because of that I was able to make great friends through God. With John 15 as inspiration, I was pruning my friendships for a more healthy relationship with God. Most of the time loss brings you some kind of pain, but you have to be able to understand that the pain helps you grow. I mean take it from Kelly Clarkson, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. When you rely on God through your loss, you are really able to grow in your relationship with him. Psalm 34:18 says "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit". Go to God with your troubles and problems, he already knows what's on your heart and wants to help. Relying on him in times of struggle and grief will only bring you closer in your relationship with him and because of that, you will overcome and conquer. I leave you with this verse; "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds" Psalm 147: 3.
